Job completed for Humid and Waterlogged Crawl Space in Winfield, WV

Completion date: June 26, 2019

Location: Winfield, WV

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer in Winfield, WV had ground water entering into the crawl space through the perimeter walls. Also there was high humidity in the crawl space which can lead to mold, allergy problems and compromised wood and was causing moisture to pull fiberglass insulation down due to being heavy from condensation.

Solutions provided:

The team at Reed's Waterproofing and Foundation Solutions removed the soiled fiberglass insulation and spray a mold treatment onto any wooden surfaces, killing the mold spores before encapsulating the space.
They then installed drains around the perimeter walls that run to the sump pump. Also installing a weep hole from each porch area to connect to said drain system.
Finally they dug and installed a new sump pump and sealed pit that works in conjunction with our liner. This pit has an alarm that will sound if water is ever on top of the liner to alert the owner in case there are any issues with the drainage system.
